Where are You, Cappadocia?

Where Are You????

I have found a few things that are the same or different so you know if you in Maryland or Cappadocia.

In Turkey women wear scares on their heads.  In the US, women have a choice if they want to wear something on their heads.

In Cappadocia, you see wild cats and dogs everywhere.  Most cats and dogs are on leashes or have collars.

There is lots of tea in Turkey.  There is not as much tea in the US and we drink our tea from ceramic mugs instead of tulip shaped glasses.

There are few bodies of water in Cappadocia.  There are many bodies of water in Maryland, for example, the Chesapeake Bay.

There are many mountains and valleys in Cappadocia.  There are only a few valleys and hills in Baltimore, for example, Mt. Washington is a hill.

Cappadocia has small stores and outdoor bizarre where you shop for cloths, food, and anything else you might need.  USA has many, many, many malls and big stores like Fresh Market, Walgreens, Food Lion, WalMart, Wegmans, Target, Marshall, Barnes and Noble, Gap, and Toys R Us.

There is Lava rock everywhere in Cappadocia.  There is Lava rock nowhere in Maryland or New York unless you buy from the store to get the calluses off your feet.

Did you know there are more letters in the Turkish alphabet than in the Latin alphabet (the Latin alphabet is the alphabet you Americans use).

Turkish words are longer than English words.  For example, “Teşekkür ederim” means “thank you” and is longer.

Turkey and USA both have pigeons everywhere, cars, motorcycles and cell phones.

Where are YOU?
